As our urban transportation systems continue to incorporate more and more digitally-enabled ways of moving around — from ride-sharing to shared scooters and bikes to autonomous vehicles and drones — cities need new ways of ensuring that everyone has their transport needs met in a safe, equitable, efficient, and environmentally sustainable way. From investing in the most underserved communities to involving people who have been systematically excluded from the transportation planning process, cities often set equity goals for new and emerging mobility and use digital tools like MDS to measure progress against them.
Led by our Strategy Committee, the OMF is launching a survey to understand how different organizations approach mobility equity, from the stated goals to the interventions used, and the types of data and digital tools involved in the assessment. By taking this short survey, your feedback will contribute to a collection of policy and technical resources designed to help cities and companies better leverage data and digital tools to advance mobility equity.
Multiple individuals from each organization are welcome to participate in order to represent diverse viewpoints. The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete and is open now through September 9, 2022.
The results of the survey will be compiled, evaluated, and best practices will be shared for the community to learn from. Any names or email addresses provided will be for use by the OMF and will not be shared with the public.
Thank you for participating! We’re looking forward to learning more about how your organization is approaching mobility equity.
