August 21, 2024

Project Summary

Quotes

“The Digital Curb Program is advancing our efforts to modernize the management of curbside parking and loading spaces—one of our most limited and valuable resources. By leveraging enhanced digital tools, our team will be equipped to make more informed, data-driven decisions regarding curb management. This will enable drivers to more easily locate available spaces, helping them avoid citations and enhancing their overall parking experience. Additionally, the program will facilitate smoother passenger drop-offs and improve navigation throughout San Francisco. We anticipate that these advancements will reduce unnecessary driving, alleviate congestion, and promote safer streets for pedestrians and cyclists, while also improving access to local businesses.”

“The OMF SMART Curb Collaborative has significantly accelerated knowledge acquisition and enhanced the benefits for cities striving to improve curb management. Through this initiative, we have streamlined procurement processes, engaged curb users in innovative ways, and gained valuable insights. The Collaborative has enabled real-time sharing of experiences and has expanded the adoption of the Curb Data Specification (CDS). These advancements are set to extend the benefits of improved curb management across the United States and internationally.”
